The Eco Resort is situated on the north eastern coast of Brazil in Bahia, the “land of happiness”. The island provides year-round pleasant temperatures of between 23ºC to 33ºC and is surrounded by warm South Atlantic waters. It is closely located to Salvador, Brazil’s first Capital, and is just a five minute boat road from the beautiful village of Sao Francisco.

The Five Star Eco Resort features, amongst other things, 2000 luxury apartments, 800 villas and boat houses, a number of five star hotels, a Robert Trent Jones II Golf course, Marina and much more. All of the resort’s facilities are built to an especially high standard but with limited interruption to the island’s natural beauty.

At the mouth of River Seriji lies the beautiful island of Cajaíba to one side whilst the ancient village of São Francisco do Conde lies to the other.  From 1712 until 1716 the Governor General of the region Alexandre Gomes Argola Ferrão, Baron of Cajaíba, built a magnificent mansion on the island.  Both the island and the mansion still carry his name.  

Originally a sugar plantation, then a military base and latterly in the last century a sugar cane and fruit plantation, the island was acquired in  to develop a five star resort with 3,000 homes and more than 2,000 hotel rooms.  This luxurious resort will have all the amenities that modern resorts demand.
